We need your help!!

We just got word that we've been chosen to participate in an amazing grantmaking contest. The Gannett Foundation will be making HUGE project grants to 16 nonprofits across the US through "A Community Thrives." Our application has been accepted, and now we get to move on to the next round of the contest... So here's the deal - we have to crowdfund to show that our community really believes in us! This is where YOU can make a difference. We've got 1 month to raise our goal of $6,000. Once we reach that goal, we'll officially be in the running to receive a grant between $25,000 and $100,000. If we win a grant from the Gannett Foundation, Contracommon will be able to produce our free annual Summer Arts Festival on an even larger scale! In 2023, we want to include a juried regional exhibition in the Contracommon gallery to accompany the festival. The festival will directly support emerging artists and makers by connecting them with a huge community of art lovers throughout west Austin and the Hill Country.

All supporters are invited to celebrate the end of the A Community Thrives crowdfunding challenge at our wrap party on August 20th, featuring open studios, a pop-up show and refreshments.
