Alejandro Castanon is a self taught artist, specializing in print making, canvas painting and murals. Born in Mexico and raised in Europe, Castanon spent 8 years serving in the U.S. Air Force, and after separating in 2011, moved to San Angelo, TX where he opened a brick and mortar art gallery. He started his art career in San Angelo where he explores art themes around the modern west through the eyes of an outsider. In addition to his experience as a gallery director for 9 years, Alejandro also earned his B.A. in Marketing and Ecommerce from Arizona State in 2015. And in 2018 he began working as a certified business advisor for the SBA. Castanon currently runs the Art Alliance of San Angelo, which provides support and education to the local artist community.
