Intermediate stained glass: build Your Design
SATURDAY, SEPT. 14TH / 10AM-6PM
$250 tuition per student, all materials included.
Each student will leave the workshop with a completed work of stained glass designed by themselves! Some experience is necessary, all tools and materials will be provided. This workshop is intended for artists aged 14 and up; participants under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian.
In this extended single session class, students will build on their knowledge of lead came assembly by creating a work from their own small (6-8") simplified design. Designs will be created at the beginning of class, and fabricated during the remaining time. All tools and materials will be provided, and basic stained glass pattern design theories and best-practices will be discussed. Each student will leave the workshop with a completed work of stained glass designed by themselves! Students should be comfortable scoring/breaking glass by hand and will hand tools. Students should have experience using a glass grinder.
Deke Cameron, @the_glassclown on Instagram, is a self-taught South Korean-born stained glass artist from Central Texas. Deke offers custom stained glass creations, pattern drawing services, video instruction on how to create your own patterns, as well as individual and group instruction in copper foil and leaded stained glass.
