Join us in the Contracommon gallery for a special edition clothed session of our monthly figure drawing. To celebrate our member-curated figurative exhibition, Bodies Akin, we will be hosting two figure drawing sessions for March: a clothed session held in our gallery surrounded by the figurative works of the exhibit, as well as a traditional nude session in the community space at the back of our facility.
Improve your art practice in this self-guided model session! Bring your favorite materials to work with and study the nude figure. The model will sit for a number of short gestures, followed by one long pose. Join us for us for this month’s session, hosted by Contracommon members and curators of Bodies Akin, Holly Cerna and Darryl Demps Jr.
This independently-led, clothed-session is open to artists of all ages. Drawing boards, tall stools, and easels are available but in limited supply, so be sure to arrive early or bring one along!
