Beginning Stained Glass: Lead Came Workshop with Deke Cameron
SUNDAY, MAR. 24TH / 4-7PM
$100 tuition per student, all materials included.
Each student will leave the workshop with a completed work of stained glass. No experience is necessary and all tools and materials will be provided. This workshop is intended for artists aged 14 and up; participants under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian.
In this single session class, students will learn the basics of lead came, or "lead light" stained glass, while learning basic leading, soldering, and finishing techniques. We will be assembling pre-cut pieces of glass (students will have a variety of colors/styles to choose from) to form a suncatcher with a themed design (approx 4-6 inches). Glass cutting and shaping will be discussed, and students will have the opportunity to score/break/grind glass.
